Title: PC software to write back ST images to floppy
Post by Phill on 12.01.10 at 20:04:23
I want to put the Hunter crack I did back to disk.  Theres nothing special about the format, is there any PC software I can use to write it back down to disk so I can actually take a look at it on my real STe?

i've got a laptop with a USB floppy drive, and 'you know who' has created software that only uses non-USB drives.

Is there an alternative?

I'm assuming its 10 sectors?

You might be able to format a disk on the ST and then just write to it using something on the PC.... otherwise - create an MSA, transfer the MSA over to the STe and then write it back up from there?

I've not used a real ST in forever! Just Steem Engine and my Falcon!

We have a couple of solutions in http://d-bug.mooo.com/dbug/extras.htm

Personally HDCOPY works for me even in windows xp, and that can format and write a 10-sector floppy disk image. Otherwise Ghostlink might be a solution - see the above page for some info...

Thanks chaps, will probably have to MSA the image and copy it over to the ST and do it that way.

HDCopy won't do anything.  I've formatted the disk to 800k 10 sector, but when it goes to open the disk image of Hunter, it just refuses to do anything with it.

Arse!
