This may just be the way I set STEem up, But if you play JMD, Start the game, Play the first race (Doesn't matter which one.)
Then play the second race. The joystick input seems to flake out half-way through, (As in, No response at all.) As I said though, This could indeed just be a STEem bug. :)

I hope so, Because all the other versions don't seem to work either in STEem and the Amiga version is so slow, you could make a cup of tea on the straights. ;)

More news: I got it to go to the third race the other day by messing with my STEem setup (why did I have it set to 12MB?)
It still did the same thing on that race though. Oh well. :)

Well I just tried JMD on Steem and I can't emulate your fault. I played track 1 (3 laps) then selected another track, no joystick probs?

Try playing track one again, Sometimes it does it on the second time, And sometimes the third, Although, If it only does it on track one, There's a pretty easy solve to this. :P

(in fact, I should try it with track 2, Perhaps?)

Also, it generally happens half-way through a race, As in corner-straight-corner-ouch! why won't my car move? :)

(also, My solve doesn't bear in mind playing it in two player.)

I'm thinking 2.06 and 4MB also. And seeing how the bug usually manifests in play, How am I going to know before it does it? :)

Actually, I have an idea, I could just snapshot every race, Then upload the one before it wrecks.. Should of thought of that earlier.

If this is just in steem, check the joystick configuration and make sure that you don't have a parallel joystick enabled.

Steem bug, but game can be patched so that bug will not occur.

Will check that when I get home, CJ, Seems too obvious. :)

Looked at the ports like CJ suggested, Unless I'm missing something, They're turned off already. Also, Try starting the game again, after the game over on that snapshot. You can control things okay in the menu screens, But the control is still locked when the race starts. Also this bug seems to trigger after you buy the engine 1 upgrade. Don't know if this helps, but the more info the better, Right? :)

Nope, It's something to do with the engine 1 upgrade, As soon as you buy that, It seems to wreck on the next race. Even on that version. :/

i've noticed it often happens when you get the go fast icon during the race.

Do the other versions exhibited this bug even when using FDC slow/accurate?

A pasti would be nice, but I've not found on yet so I had to file Illegal's version.

Wait, If it does it after the Engine upgrade, normally on the go faster stripes. Does something break when the speedo gets to 255+?
