Metrocross: What can one say about this game? The story is as I get it, some evil terrorists put bombs in the metro stations and you need to evacuate them as fast as possible. So you basically run. The ST version features 16 levels from the original 24 of the arcade game but that's OK because by the time you are good enough to get there you've played an awful lot of hours. Graphics wise the game looks well designed with very good scrolling and no framedrop. The music is extremely catchy and the sound effects very basic YM. You can stop the music if you like but I don't think you would. Gameplay wise, you run from left to right while avoiding obstacles such as barrels, rats and slow down tiles in the chessboard like floor. You can collect powerups such as a skateboard or jump on soda cans to stop the time or speed up. The one negative aspect of this game is that it relies a lot on your memory of the level layout but it's still extremely fun to play and a very well made arcade conversion, something that is seldom found on the ST.

Don't want to sound picky, but the ST version does actually include all 24 levels.  :)

Bad memory ;) . I thought it only had 16. That makes it even cooler then!

One of my favourite games on the Atari ST.
Nice two-player game for hours of joy.

I dedicated a smal HP for this great game:
