Impact

One of the early games from Assembly line, this is a plain arkanoid clone. The only thing that's different from the standard arkanoid playability is the way the power ups are handled: instead of grabbing a specific icon that gives you a specific power up, the same icon falls down and the more you collect, the better power up you can activate using the right mouse button. This changes the game strategy a bit since you can risk by not getting ball slow downs to get the laser (for example) but then the ball will run at the default speed (which is a bit fast) so you can lose easier.

Graphics could have been better, but I guess they're functional. The game runs at 50fps all the time, which is quite pleasant. A scrolling starfield is displayed instead of a background pattern but this gives a nice sense of movement, even distracting some times. Sound is ok, with samples played throughout.

Not one of the memorable games ASL produced, but definitely good.
