Another boot manager you might want to try is superboot. It's text only, but I was usuing it happily even from floppies!

I remember my configurations were: Low, Med, High (via mono emulator), GFA-Low (loaded gfa basic on entry to gem), GFA-Med, GFA-High, Turboass :)

You might want to add different configs for st and falcon too :)
