Livingstone, I Presume
Well I admit I was a fan of this on the 8-bits, nothing special but enough to keep you wanting to load and play - lets face it the secret of any game... You are Stanley who, well has to find Livingstone (just in case you never heard the story). Progress through many caverns filled with natives, venus-fly traps (read Stanley eating traps) and fellow adventurers who think noting more of firing of a few rounds. Of course to over come these you are quipped with a pole to vault over obstacles, grenades and a boomerang to kill and hit switches and your trusty Rambo-esque knife. Sadly what made this game fun on the 8-bits has't translated well to the ST. The graphics are colourful but unrefined, but we can forgive that due to the year it was published, sounds is average and the animations are just pretty poor. BUT despite all that, and despite it not translating to the ST that well - I still like it. It has a certain charm, at least to me. |
