To be honest only ever played two player - and played against my kid on it earlier to do the screenshots  ;D

What I found easier was that playing on the ST before the joystick control wasn't as fluid as the mouse control (expected I suppose) but using mouse and joystick (read keyboard here) on STeem added to the fluidity
