Unless they're using Backwards or something similar, that list is wrong because there are several titles on there that don't "just work"

True.

From a rough guess, I'd estimate that about 60% of the games in that list will run perfectly on the Falc, 30% will run but will suffer from glitches and the remainder won't work at all.

Of course, it always depends on the version (crack) used and how you launch them on the Falcon (AUTO folder or not, TSRs loaded, etc.), so that kind of list is pretty useless without additional information.
