Beyond the ice palace


I found myself playing this title often, and I still can't figure out why.

After all, it's a really standard platform shooter. Like Northstar, the graphics seem to have been taken from an 8-bit version, stretched out a bit to fill the ST screen, and the palette retained. The game isn't that big and if you learn the few levels a bit, you can finish it without too much fuss.

I really have no clue why I liked this and I still sort of do. I guess it'll remain a mystery.
