Hello!

Then, should I post my logotype
picture here, in this thread?

Else, I will email it to RalfZenker.

Goodbye,

Hello!

I sent today, some hour ago,
the logotype for representing
"BITS" in the main menu.

I sent it as PNG and PI1.
To have the colors ordered
and as requested in the
rules, a special program will
be needed, a program that
can handle palette color
positions. Which do you use?
Neochrome doesn't offer the
change of color positions.

Greetings,
SOLO BITS (bits.atari.org)

There is no graphic for the Paradize screen as of yet - and I can't provide one that is 100% to the rules.

I could submit to someone a cropped old logo but it probably needs to be redone for the limitations, including reordering of the palette.

Any takers?

Solo, you can change the colors index in neochrome (and neo master), not sure if it's with right click, control or shift, but you can definitely do it.

Hello!

But it is not the palette index, but the bitplane pixel number...  Wink

If I paint the logotype and orange $e0a000 is converted by
the .png2.pi1 converter as pixel number 15, and this number
must be white. And I desire orange with pixel number 4.
Exchanging the indexes of the palette doesn't exchange the
bitplane numbers Smiley

When I want to do that with neo master, i load a pic in a buffer, then choose another buffer (empty) . I put the palette in the right order in the empty buffer. the I go back to the pic buffer and use the "jack knife" tool : shortcut "J" , select the logo , go to the buffer with the good palette directly by pressing it's number on the keypad and then press F5 "remap" . and voila pic has the same colours but they are re-arranged Smiley

GGN talked me through a easy way of re-ordering palettes using Deluxe Paint.

Right click on the icon to the LEFT of the icon that looks like an S (or a $).  A window will open below the toolbar.  This new window has a copy of the palette in it.

Then, left click on the colour in this small palette that you want to move.  Then click on the 'remap' button.  Click the colour in the palette that you want to swap the previous colour with.  DONE - you've moved a colour in the palette and your image will be unaffected!

Repeat and rinse until you have the colours in the right order (IIRC, black 0, white 15, e a o at 4...or whatever the rules stated).

Hope this helps a bit Smiley

Ok, here is my contribution Smiley

Yesterday I released my picture conversion tool (PictConv) on pouet: http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=54124

Since it is possible to "lock" color indexes in PictConv, I took the opportunity of this thread to show how to do that, with a small example involving XiA and Paradox logos already submitted:
http://www.defence-force.org/download/PictConvExample.zip

The resulting pictures are 6112 bytes, 32 bytes for palette, and 160*38 bytes for the picture. No header.

The batch file contains the parameters used to convert the picture, and the pictures have the additional "-p1" palette (as mentioned in the documentation).

Hope it helps Smiley

(note, make sure you have the version 0.14, I stupidly broke something in 0.13 yesterday when I submited, so I republished a version this morning - same location)

@ssb: Your "minz-original" is converted by now. Still looks good, even though i put my hand on it.  Wink

@solo: i converted your logo, swapped the colors and it works fine.

@heavystylus: o.k.

@orion_: o.k.
